Life after breakups

Continued...
Basically...I had been that shy guy that never gets the girl, but tonight it was going to change. I guess cupid or whoever is responsible for making people feel weird...sorry meant fall in love had finally seen my "lonely life" and saw it fit to mess me up. If only you were visible... the numerous insults you would have received on behalf of all you have messed up.
I had planned never to get myself in those meaningless awkward interactions with females...I saw no purpose for them neither the time to see their or hear their nagging traits...At-least that's what I heard after seeking  advise from the elders of this game they call DATING...I prefer Call Of Duty its much easier!!!
So here I was...dosing off despite the loud music playing in the background...off she was shaking her bottoms to the music  they call riddimz...frankly that's just noisy music for me. I know now you are like "Why didn't  I leave.?" Well it was raining...and I stay quite a distant from school...and could not even think of stepping out of the dinning hall/ dance hall. As I was sleeping and about to have a nice dream...I guess...I felt a soft touch on my cheeks...Man!!! Anyways...opened my eyes and there she was...smiling and staring at me. Wanted to slap her real hard for interrupting my sweet sleep...but remained composed. No one is allowed to disturb my sleep patterns except when am gaming or receiving a call from mum...NO ONE!!!
She sat besides me and asked why I was sleeping...Just replied bored...wishing she could just let me be. Then as we were talking...the kind of friends you have that always influence you to do something that was never on your mind...well she came along together with her boyfriend...and before they even sat down...a song started playing...and so they forced me to act as a "gentleman" whoever came up with that must have been suffering from a mental disease. Gentleman...ha ha..hahahaha so funny.
So gave into their pressure...and started dancing...and by dancing I mean standing up and side stepping...have a very rigid body.As you recall...that's where the boner decided to come and ruin my night. I hurriedly went back to sit...pretending I was tired.
Well, a guy friend of hers stepped in and replaced me. I felt sad,and angry... don't know why. I wanted to stand up smash that guy...how stupid is he touching my GIRL ...ooops my dance partner like that? But being me...I just watched...and watched...two songs later...I was still watching. I guess she realized my jealousy sorry..my sadness and anger and came to consul me by chatting up. An hour later...it was already 5;30 and told her I was about to leave. So she decided to walk with me  until we reached near our clinic. Said thanks for that push and hugged her...I dont know how it happened...found myself kissing her...my first kiss...A minute to remember. Did not want to stop...but had to...I was shivering...So I said goodbye and off I went still perplexed why I did that...Oooh...She was my crush...and mydream came true.

Life after breakups

I know!!!
Am not the first neither will I be the last.
So it's 1am and am still up. My heart racing cause of her even though it is now the fourth month after we parted ways.
I don't know why...damn!!! She is that ex that will always be on your mind...no matter how hard you try. The usual happened, she blocked me...I blocked her back...then unblocked...then I unblocked her...then she blocked me again. That's how we doing it...don't know about you.
So been thinking whether to start a new relationship but naaah.
Back to my relationship...mean my past relationship...So am a guy in campus...and we all know what happens there. Guys there are on a sex a thon while I was the few holy ones that refused to partake in cohabiting like my fellow students.
How we met?
Had decided to attend my first ever campus night after three trimesters in university. So the usual things happened...I sat down next to her.
Almost forgot...I had been avoiding her since we joined campus...and prior to that night we had exchanged a few hi's so the night wasn't that awkward. The event got a little boring...and we decided to play the adult version of truth or dare. We played...and got to know her more...fyi just so you know...I am picky when it comes to ladies...I prefer the ones with a high intellect... just like me...so I feel like am dealing with an equal. So she is a med student...and the night passed on very fast...and had the chance to have my first dance with her.
She was good...made me have an instant boner!!! Could not believe what I had been missing all along. I am not a party freak neither do I fancy going out...I find being alone pure bliss...nothing can change that.
To be continued....

Dear Life

Dear Life,
What does it take for one to be on the good side with you? Is it not enough that you have taken so much already? Each day I wake up and think to myself,”What have I done wrong?” but sadly I do not have the answer. I look at the way people get stressed over the money thing. Why did you have to make it so? People struggle just to find a meal for a day, not knowing what tomorrow will bring, is a rich thought, many don’t  want to find out.
A woman, who ought to be a pillar of the family and a respected person, is forced to sell herself, just because she can’t bare the site of her beloved children go hungry… just for a simple meal! You have made most of us hopeless, lacking the will to face another day, because we have nothing left to live for. Tell us what you want so that we may give it to you.
Why is it you have blessed some of us, yet we can’t appreciate you. We have almost everything, yet we still yearn for more. Why is it so? Guess only you have the answer to that. We have it all, yet we squander it all on useless things, each time failing to realize the difference we might make. Just a little may go a long way.
That difference everyone has been singing about, but has never been seen, then that must be our punishment. We are still waiting for the one who will open our eyes and finally see, see what the likes of Mahatma Gandhi saw when he refused earthly possessions for spiritual fulfilment, Mother Teresa, chose to live with the miserable, sick and dying cause they needed help. Sadly they aren't here to share with us… blind we shall remain.
What’s with our political leaders? Yes we vote them in, every term in hopes of a better life, better infrastructure, more jobs, less crime. But it remains just that…hope. All they do best is get fatter, I bet to fry better once they visit the fiery pits of hell, bicker like people in a market place without a purpose. When will they stop and realize that we are dying…our hopes fading…our country slowly being divided into two tribes… the rich and the poor.
But when all that happens, we still have the strength to endure and persevere for we have an ever present source of strength…GOD. We believe he has greater plans for us…today…tomorrow or after 30years… HE knows what’s best for us, even though we are too blind to see. Our prayers to HIM, is our own way of talking to our father, our helper, our strength.

That’s why dear life, I will always be ready…no matter what you throw my way, I see that as a hurdle and prepare myself to jump over it as high as I can. So whether we like it or hate it…we have to endure you and learn to live with you.

Not a perfect World

What does it take for one to know they have found that special one? Could it be the way you feel uneasy when they walk past you or Just say “hi” randomly and you are shocked they notice you. Or the number of times you constantly practice on what to say, and when that time comes all you can utter are indistinct murmurs only audible to you. In your mind thinking how you have just messed up that perfect opportunity. Frankly I have never known, and I’m sure I never will.

Each one yearns for that “Soul mate” that “Perfect guy” that “beautiful lady” to come and complete us. Take away that vacuum that we have inside of us. Fill us with love, so we don’t get jealous or sad when we see our friends happy with their better halves. It hurts, and you get that impulsive urge to find someone.
Many are the times you think you are not good enough, not beautiful enough or not that handsome for the one you want. Deep down you want to be with them, but that fear of being rejected wins each time. So you just give up and go for the one you feel at par with. Doing this makes you feel miserable and unhappy. You try to change your new partner so as to be a clone of the one you wanted, thus the arguments start and before you know it you are back to that person you were before.

When alone, you start to think what went wrong. Put the blame on the other person, saying to yourself that “I was not the one who had faults”, all in effort to try and soothe your broken self. You decide to shut out the world and immerse yourself in thoughts of how things would have been, while slowly your life fades away. You choose to live in the past rather than the present.

I know we all have been there, and some of us are still there. Waiting for someone to come and pull us out of that deep well we have put ourselves in. To be frank, no one will ever come, that’s just an assumption we have. The time is now, to open our eyes and take that chance you let pass you by, all you need is courage, and maybe you can find the strength you need to climb out of that well and live life as it’s meant to be, taking chances each day so you don’t live with regrets tomorrow.

By doing so, you take away the questions you would have asked yourself, “What went wrong” and realize that “it’s not my fault’”. Maybe that’s when you are going to see the world the way it’s meant to be, neither perfect nor beautiful, it’s what you make it to be that matters most.  Maybe that’s when you open your eyes and start seeing what you had been missing all along, YOUR LIFE as you want it.

Prayers Of the Young

In this age, we have so many temptations. Our peers influence us, thus we tend to forget OURSELVES.
Being looked as if we are from a different world, just because we find solace in prayer, bliss in praising our GOD.
Because of that, many of us tend to shy away from the place that brought us peace, forgetting we are also moving away from GOD. By doing so, we become alienated from GOD, making our prayers to HIM disgusting.
1 Peter 3:12, "For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and HIS ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."
GOD hears the prayers of his faithful children.
Because we are young, we tend to approach GOD with an attitude, often filled with self-righteousness.
In Luke 18:9-14, We are given the example of the Pharisee, who went to the temple to pray, but he was full of himself and his own goodness. He didn't ask for favor and grace of GOD. But in that same temple, the tax collector prayed a simple prayer," GOD, have mercy on me, a sinner." He humbled himself and his prayer was heard. For it is written, those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who who humble themselves will be exalted.
The time is now to start praying for heavenly desires, for they are most important. After all, Psalms 37:4
"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart,"
GOD listens to us, and answers according to our prayer. Matthew 7:9," Ask and it shall be given to you; knock, and it shall be opened to you; Or what man is there of you, whom if son ask bread, will give him stone?."

Dear Opposition

Why go to great lengths to try and De-stabilise an infant Government when its trying to learn how to walk.
You come up with arguments that seem only to quench your thirst for power.
You bring threats of carrying out mass protests so as to have a re-election.
Claims of corruption, tribalism and abuse of power seem to be the word on the tips of your tongues.
So, your leader went the USA and gave lectures in universities there, so you think is like a messiah.
Ask yourself, how many years has he been in the limelight, yet he has nothing to show for it.
Yes he may claim he was held and tortured for us to get the perceived  democracy he was fighting for.
I don't know the magnitude of his suffering, but couldn't he act in a distinguished and gentleman manner as
did the late Nelson Mandela did?
Instead of trying to work with the government, all you can do is criticize it. Yes, your claims may be right,
but why cant you do what you are supposed to to...Keep the government in check.
The discord among yourself is a show of even among yourselves, rivalry exists.
We have another four years before the elections, if you want to make a difference, its now.Stop yelling and
start working. We are tired of your bickering. And dear sir, please retire, you are too old for us. We will always remember the lesson you taught us. Defeat is inevitable, what you do next is what matters most.

And the government, continue working toward making Kenya a prosperous nation... but never forget who put you there.

Terror Versus Human Rights

The recent spate of terror attacks in Nairobi,Kenya has left scores injured and a trail of blood. The one with the most media coverage being the Westgate Mall attack. Was it because it was the rich being targeted...guess only the plotters can answer us. Recent media reports on insecurity around major towns can make one think Kenya is in total turmoil... at least the terrorists are getting free airplay. Then comes the humanitarians...the hell who coined that word. They say all are equal... wonder which world they live in, must be their lavish mansions. They seem to get a voice when some disaster occurs. For instance, they call for just treatment for terror suspects...really? Maybe the suspects ought to take an AK47 and paint their houses red...that might make them have a change in thought...still it remains a "maybe". Some people are just better off dead than alive, or incarcerated till death. It doesn't take a person with a Phd in Security Studies to tell when the time for desperate measures trumps basic "human rights" . Maybe  this pictures might change their minds...
Here President Uhuru cries.... the loss of a nephew

The lifeless bodies...

Gory images...but its the way it was...just think of it... do the family members want justice or revenge?
The time is now... do whatever it takes to protect a country...the safety of one person is nothing compared to the millions of lives at stake. A job well done for the men and women in the police and military...they have sacrificed their lives for our peace...lets not take that for granted....all in all... shoot, kill, torture, maim, hold a terror suspect without prosecution...its a problem half solved. Beats being blown to pieces or having your head shot at point blank.

A Lonely Soul

Remember when it was all smiles?
Everything around glittered like gold.
The sunsets,magnificent beyond words,
A colorful beautiful world it was.
Now,like a rose,withering and loosing its color.
All around darkness,no life it seems,
The sky,filled with stormy clouds,
A rage, sorrow untold to you before.
Why?
All to you is crumbling,
Life seems a fairy tale to you,
All it takes is that one step,
That will make a difference,
The time is now, stop frowning and start smiling.
Open your eyes, happiness is always with you,
You just have to ignite it,
Be it like never before, just remind yourself,
None but I can take it away.
Someone new is waiting, for you to smile.
Try it,you might get addicted to it.

Awe!!!

Awe! The right word to describe where we are.
Astonishing! The kind of things happening each day to us.
Is this really the kind of life we would want OUR children to grow up living.
Change is inevitable so are the consequences that follow.
Where did we go wrong or is it not our blame?
A world slowly fading, yet we have the power to take charge and stand for whats right.
Right! Is there anything bad or wrong?
Good! all that we see easy for "me" instead of US.
Learn! Do we ever get to do this anymore?
Indeed we are lost, question is when or where is our shepherd.
Life moves fast, today here, tomorrow nothing but mud full of maggots.
Yet we still fail to open our eyes and see the kind of life we have.
Are we going to get lost forever?
The time is now to start doing what will sustain us or we will be nothing but distant memories.

Am I?

Is it because that am blind or simply unable to comprehend things as they are.Sitting down, contemplating without foreseeing the inevitable.Vivid thoughts turn into the real while the real fades away like the evening sun.In my own world, torn, hurt and simply alone. While the clock ticks,I remain in a world where time never moves. The time I sit and wonder what it is that "me" wants but "me" doesn't give a probable solution to that which I seek.Slowly,I try to find that which will quench my thirst but to no avail. Then that one question still lingers Am I?

The best Performing Governor in KENYA

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has been labelled the best performing governor in Kenya. Some have even called him the only performing governor.
President Kenyatta recently launched the Machakos city project, and the Governor has been personally supervising construction works at the Kenyatta Stadium.
Wrong are you if you thought those were his only major projects.

Here is what Mutua has done in Machakos this year, or plans to do next year.

1. Kenyatta Stadium converted into a 10,000 seater, with new toilets, dressing rooms and a green pitch. Just one months ago, the place was just a patch of dry sand and dust.

2. Construction of the 'Machakos People's Park' a 35-Acre park which sits by Maruba Dam in Machakos Town. It has Africa's only  field Amphitheater, and will be open on Thursday next week.

3. 40 tractors are already ploughing farms for free together with free seed in subsidized fertilizer in a Food Security Subsidy programme.

4. 2 million chicks are being given to the youth in the county.

5. 60 roads in 40 wards will from December 10,2013 start to be repaired and maintained.

6. From January 2014, Ksh. 464M will be used to upgrade 40 Healthcare Centers to Community Hospital standards each with a ward, x-rays lab, mini theatre and maternity.

7. 70 ambulances-one per location will be distributed from December 20th this year.

8. 140 police and specialized vehicles will be launched either late December 2013 or early January 2014. They are in transit in the open seas.

9. Machawood will open its doors in January next year.

10. Machakos Forensics and Research Centre will start operating on January 15, 2014.

11. 800 floodlights will be installed in the county between January and March 2014.

12. 500 CCTVs will be installed in the county by end of January 2014.

13. Water drilling rigs and excavators are on order and will be on the ground from February 2014 to dig 700 boreholes, 500 dams and water pans together with installation of 300 water tanks in Machakos County.

What is your governor doing in the meantime?

WHEN WE ARE TOO GOOD FOR SOMEONE

Its neither sadness nor disappointment...just a feeling we tend to get when rejected.Tears form, but never get the chance to trickle down the cheeks,on edge ever ready. The many questions that run through ones mind, sadly, non comes with an answer. The feeling of being worthless...value-less...UN-lovable...making you slowly detach from those around. Then we build cocoons, giant walls...around us to shield ourselves from that feeling we know so well.Day by day we watch...we yearn...but...fear still holds us down. Then a time comes, the dawn like spring...all around flourishing we take that step and start breaking from that cocoon...demolish those giant walls...start taking that fragile flight...though not for the first time...we fly as if it is.Then finally...you learn...non but me...can make me feel bad.

WHY WE OFTEN FAIL.

Kenya,a country of many yet a few hold it at ransom.

The few we chose to lead us to prosperity but instead, drive us through a valley full of thorns, while,
they stand at the edge and bid us farewell. As if blind,we move on,persevering the thorns, ditches and  the unbearable conditions. Each season we promise ourselves that "We will have what we want",but instead turn a blind eye.The time will come when we have to stand, and let our actions speak for us.When that time comes,it will already be too late, but as a people who never give up,we stand and start again, for we know that, our country is greater than any soul in it.But until that time comes, like sheep we are, waiting for that Shepard to lead us to greener pastures.

Attempt To Gag Freedom OF Speech

The essence of democracy is that people can participate in public affairs and choose amongst a menu of alternatives ideas. Therefore, democracy is anchored on the presumption that the people know what the different options are and what each means for their individual lives so that they can make informed choices. Therein lies the critical role of the media in a democracy. Without a free media there can be no free exchange of information and ideas. Without a free media there can be no democracy. This is why our constitution underscores the freedom and independence of the media.
Just last week, I wrote on the need for us to allow the truth to come out and cautioned against threats to journalists who expose excesses and shortcomings in public affairs. By exposing these failings, the media has provided Kenyans with a basis upon which they can demand for change. Media freedom is therefore not only critical for democracy, it is also necessary for development. Nonetheless, for the media to be able to carry out their role, they must be able to operate without fear.
Nonetheless, it has to be noted especially that the media has a big impact on the choices that people make. Therefore, this freedom has to be exercised within bounds of responsibility. A professional code of conduct for journalists is therefore necessary to ensure that this freedom is not abused. That notwithstanding, any attempts to regulate the media must live up to the constitutional requirements of independence from control by government, political interests or commercial interests. Any regulation that goes against these principles or that makes it impossible for journalists to do their job is a threat to democracy.
I opposed attempts to gag the media in the 10th parliament as I found it against the fundamentals of democracy and the spirit of the constitution which must be respected at all times

The VAT Effect On KENYANS

As expected the prices of basic commodities have increased after the VAT Act took effect. Since the changes have also affected electricity charges, the costs of these commodities are expected to rise even further since energy is a high component of production. This will make life for the ordinary Kenyans even more difficult than it already is as the cost of living will go up on account of rising inflation.
The changes introduced to the VAT law, we are told, are geared towards attaining simplicity in the tax regime. However, fiscal policy reforms should be entrenched to enhance tax collection so that we avoid the seemingly easier route of taxing basic commodities which hurt the common mwananchi.
KRA must deepen and broaden its coverage ensure that revenue is collected from Kenyans who are currently not captured by the tax regime especially those in the huge transport and real estate sectors. KRA must also eliminate corruption within the tax system to ensure revenue is collected and seal loopholes that are exploited by tax evasion. We can raise more than the requisite revenue in this way and avoid the temptation to tax basic commodities that ordinary Kenyans depend on.
As I have always said, as we seek to improve revenue management we must also curb wasteful recurrent expenditure. Controlling government's recurrent expenditure is the only way we can put government's appetite for revenue in check.
Taxes are what decent societies pay for services. Therefore, while it is the right of the government to levy and collect taxes, it is the right of the people to get the services for which they pay.  For Kenyans to appreciate taxation, the fiscal policy framework must promote fairness and justice while also ensuring that the tax we pay visibly contributes to socio-economic development by way of service delivery.

TIME TO BUILD KENYA

The recent political wrangles between Raila Odinga and the Jubilee government is a show of how some of our leaders have selfish motives. Its been three months since the announcement of the winner during the general elections. As a good Kenyan Citizen,he went to the courts to try and annul the election results but did not win.Now he is trying to Destabilize the running of the central government by trying to convince HIS supporters that am president ought to be elected by the #MPs.The time is now for him to STOP and concentrate on uniting Kenyans instead of trying to divide us.He lost, acceptance should be a vocabulary.
I am speaking as a PATRIOTIC KENYAN CITIZEN who would do anything to protect the Sovereignty of OUR beloved NATION.Time to focus on the present and future, those who dwell on the past never get to live the present.

The ticking Time Bomb

The tension between different countries is on the rise,a sign of dangers to come. The worlds population is increasingly growing larger each day thus the need for planet earth to put up its defense mechanism on high alert.Recent tensions between the East and the Western nations are a perfect example of what is to come though slow. The need for a lesser population is a major factor thats going to cause the eruption of World War 3,but it wont be the traditional combat methods rather a whole new method-CHEMICAL WARFARE...A source in a military laboratory has confirmed that a leading super power is on the verge of testing its Survival of the fittest weapon. Its basically designed to eradicate all weak gene pools in the society. An example of a failed version was the NH1 virus that didn't achieve the desired outcome. The only bit remaining is looking for a war...which is about to happen. Some of the super rich have already started building bunkers in specific save zone countries in Africa.Lets wait and see the outcome.

A New Beginning

The swearing in of Uhuru Kenyatta as the fourth president of Kenya marked the ending of the famous coalition government and the beginning of the Unitary government. The International community had tried all methods to deter the Kenyan people by giving indirect warnings about having a president who has criminal charges at the ICC.The Kenyan people werent discouraged or shaken by  the threats and went ahead to vote in the duo.Reason is that we are sick and tired of having old people who should be in retirement homes lead us as if we dont have our own young and vibrant leaders.
The western countries should mind their own business and let the Kenyan people determine their own fate thus their own consequences.Kenya has proved itself a power house that promotes regional stability as observed by the recent emancipation of Somalia from the hands of the Militia.
We are now focusing on growing our economy and country by working as a single entity and not as a divided country as port-raid by western media.

JUST GIVE ME A REASON

Each moment I think about you,I find  myself smiling.Never knew what it was that caused it.
I remember the first time we had our first conversation (you asking why),that was when
I  knew.As sudden as you had come then you vanished like vapor in the air.
We get to meet  new people each day, and, forget them, but not all of them.
You are among those I cannot get out of  my mind.
How I long  to have you in my arms, kiss your lips and say  I love you a thousand times, but time
can tell us.Hope is all I have now
